  1. Documentation is a very important component of “a Thinking School” approach of transforming educational practices in schools and school systems. It is a powerful means by which the existence of sought understanding is ascertained. Video documentation is richer in the complexities of realities it captures hence enabling benefits from deeper understanding to be utilized. It also allows a metacognitive sight and attention to be focused on reflective thoughts on facilitated learning activities and/or facilitated educational professional development trainings. It is basically a powerful tool of research. Documentation is how transparency of means of achieving proposed outcomes are evidenced or substantiated.
The documentation of instructional leadership training given to the educational leadership team of the SNNPRS educational bureau is useful in many ways. First, it serves as basis for making decision as regards growing collaboration with TSE from the vantage point of decision making bodies in the region. Second, it enhances clarity of communication between those who play instructional leadership roles and educators in schools since roles, competencies, and benefits of a program are actually modeled and experienced by those who are to see it being implemented by professionals in actual school contexts. And third, it is very powerful in terms learning about how aligned a new vision or program is among the key stakeholders who are both actors and beneficiaries. By and large, documentation is essential in evaluating, instituting, monitoring, entrenching and sustaining a program into educational practices in schools and school systems.
