\nThe photos above and below are from Seka Elementary School in the Aksum\u00a0region in\u00a0Tigray Ethiopia. Seka Elementary School is one of 37 model laboratory schools part of the Thinking Schools Ethiopia Tigray project.<\/p>\n

First\u00a0we are given some training about the Thinking Schools Ethiopia\u00a0training. After that these\u00a0photos of\u00a0students are when the teacher teaches for the students about the topic in the English subject. The students are learning one topic about TENSE using the map of Circle Map\u00a0in \"tigray-axum-seka-school6\"English subject.\u00a0The\u00a0teachers use Circle Maps and Flow Maps and other Thinking Maps in Seka Full Elementary School.\u00a0The\u00a0other Thinking Maps are being regularly\u00a0used in our whole school.\u00a0We have been starting grades\u00a01-8 especially with\u00a0math & English subjects.<\/p>\n

The school recently participated in both the Trainer of Trainers professional development<\/a> and the whole school training with the Trainer of Trainers under the guidance of Thinking Schools International Global Trainer Robert Seth Price and the Thinking Schools Ethiopia County Trainers\u00a0Atsede Tsehayou and Dagim Melese. Thinking Schools Ethiopia<\/a> – Tigray is a\u00a0collaboration of\u00a0Tigray Development Association<\/a>\u00a0and Thinking Foundation<\/a>\u00a0for 37 model schools in 12 Woredas located in all \u00a07 zonal administrations with funding administered by Initiative Africa<\/a> for a Girl’s Empowerment Whole School Change grant from Sida (Swedish Development Agency)<\/a>\u00a0that began as a grass roots project by Robert Seth Price<\/a>\u00a0along with lead country trainers Atsede Tsehayou<\/a> and Dagim Melese<\/a>.\u00a0Read the chapter on Ethiopia<\/a> in the Corwin Press book Pathways to Thinking Schools<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n
